Sierra Grand Slam

Catching four species of Eastern Sierra trout in a single day is known as the “Sierra Grand Slam.” This achievement involves catching a Rainbow, Brown, Brook, and Golden trout. If you want to take it a step further and aim for a Sierra Super Slam, you'll need to catch a Cutthroat trout as well. This is a significant accomplishment to be proud of, especially when done with a fly rod in hand.

At All Mountain Outfitters, we can eliminate the guesswork and guide you to the best locations to help make your fishing dreams a reality. Our adventure will take us along the highway and through hiking trails. Be prepared for a full day of activity—over 12 hours from sunrise to sunset. We’ll start with some moderate hiking early in the morning and then relax in an inflatable drift raft for lunch. The day will conclude with more time on the trail, and if we are successful, you will achieve your slam.

Because this task can be challenging, we strongly recommend that you practice your casting or take a casting lesson with us before your trip. We want to give you the best possible chance of success.

Please note that we allow a maximum of two anglers per trip. If you would like to bring more anglers, please call us to discuss the trip and the possibility of adding another guide.
